End Of Year Processing

It's that time of year again. Working in the corporate world sometimes has its problems, especially when you approach the end of every quarter or every year. But that's just the day job. You see, it takes a significant amount to time to keep up with the different forms of media in the world of the internet. I started working on way too many blogs and podcasts, and on top of the day job and volunteer work, it started to get a bit difficult to keep up. I started out with a simple website as a hobby back in the 1990's. Wow, that seems like ages ago. Then it was the Blog of the Road Warrior, which is now a part-time thing that was taken over by the updated website. Then there are all of the sites like Xanga, MySpace, and Facebook, that take significant time to update. Of course, I do run a few podcasts, which needed a refresh for the end of the year as well. I had let the Road Warrior Podcast lapse a bit, but I recorded a new episode while on vacation. Then there are the other podcasts that I host and produce which needed attention.

Anyhow, all of my sites have at least one entry for the month, and all of my podcasts have a new episode this month as well. That's my version of end-of-year processing. I haven't been keeping this blog as up-to-date with some words of wisdom as I have in the past, but I'll try to make a little more time in the future. It's not easy to come up with something witty (or even coherent) to publish in this corner of the blogosphere.

This has probably been a much longer post that I regularly do in this space, but since it's been a while, it's only fair that we do a longer update. End-of-year processing is always an interesting task. It's probably one of the few times that I have to make up for the rest of the year. It's kind of strange to see that by having more time at home, I seem to have less time to keep up with the routine posts to all the blogs and podcasts. That's been the most perplexing item of the year. It seems that I need to play the role of Road Warrior once again in order to keep that "edge" that I used to have in all of the writings that I produced in the past. Well, we'll see if that happens in 2008 when I get myself back onto the playing field. See ya.
